Hey Founders!
I’m Tatem 👋
Each week I’ll surface the TikTok formats going viral before they become obvious. It’s what's working right now, why it works, and how you can use it.

Week 0
Building my TikTok from Scratch — Live Results
I’ve built personal brands for celebrities, politicians, athletes, and founders. However, I’ve never taken the time to build out my own personal brand. (Lame, I know.)
Starting next week, come follow me in real time on TikTok as I grow as quickly as possible!
I’ll use all of the strategies I implement for founders at JOLT! and incorporate the trends I talk about on here. Steal what you want!

This Week's Quick Take
If you already know your target audience, most videos can be made in 60 seconds or less.

Trend 1 — The Bob
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Bobs are all the rage right now. If you have one, you’re in luck. If you don’t, Amazon has some purple wigs calling your name 👀
(I’m only slightly kidding — bobs aren’t mandatory but the virality factor is there!)
For this trend, most videos start with on-screen text that says, “Reasons to get a [insert product here].”
For each reason, shake your head with the beat as if you’re moving your bob from left to right.
@jocelynmeiere I think this bob needs a holiday, that doesn’t mean she’s leaving that means the bob is DOING MOREEEEEE #bob #bobgirl
Why it Works For You:
You can either describe your product with this, or you can teach your audience something about you.
Here are a few ideas for founder personal brands that go beyond your product:
1. Co-founder
2. Claude subscription
3. Gym membership
4. Coffee
5. ADHD medication prescription
(My attorney told me to add this disclaimer: I am not a doctor. This last point was a joke. Please don’t sue me. Thanks, bestie.)

Trend 2 — The Preparing For Documentary
I love this trend right now! It’s perfect for any niche, and it should only take 60 seconds from start to finish.
Here’s how to do it:
Record yourself sitting down in a chair. Act like you’re preparing to give an interview for a documentary. You can fix your hair, make small comments to the fake producers, or even adjust the microphone attached to your shirt.
Make it feel real.
After that, add a caption that’s relatable or intriguing for your audience.
@reece_christinee Just need to be hangry before we start rolling cameras😅 #netflixdocumentary #trend #funny #netflix #trending
Why it Works For You:
This can be applied to ANYTHING.
Preparing for my Netflix documentary about how…
AI Founder: I grew my app to 16k users with one Claude prompt.
CPG Founder: My mom’s eczema inspired me to launch my brand.
Agency Founder: I learned a new skill in a weekend and now have 20 clients.
As long as the caption teaches people something about you and it gets your audience to ask follow-up questions, this video will be well worth your time.

Trend 3 — Things Worth Your Money
If you could recommend 5 items to anyone, what would they be?
Thanks for asking; here are mine:
1. An extra-long charger for your phone (I’ve yanked my cord out of the wall one too many times).
2. AirPods
3. DJI microphones
4. JOLT! — the team there is so helpful & awesome. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!!
5. A bag to carry everything
That’s the trend in a nutshell.
@jazamaya Things that are absolutelyyyyyy worth the money #recommendations #productrecommendations #worthit
Why it Works For You:
See what I did there?
I bet you know my exact target audience. I also bet you learned something.
And you may or may not have noticed that I gave a little shoutout to my company at the same time.
That’s exactly what you should be doing. Posts like this one can help target your exact niche while educating people on your brand.
Give it a try!
