Hey Founders!
I’m Tatem 👋
Each week I’ll surface the TikTok formats going viral before they become obvious. It’s what's working right now, why it works, and how you can use it.

This Week's Quick Take
Some videos need more effort than others. If you don’t have the time this week, choose low-effort videos. It’s better to post a 7-second clip with one line of relatable text than to not post anything at all.

Trend 1 — The Try Not To Say The Same Thing Trend
Do you and your co-founder spend so much time together that it feels like you’re morphing into one person?
Yeah… you aren’t alone…
Let’s poke a little fun at this on your TikTok this week!
Just make a list of topics, then say the first word that comes to your head at the same time.
See how many you say the same.
Why it Works For You:
You can do this in a wholesome, get-to-know-you way.
Or you could do this specifically about your company.
Here are a couple of lists to get you started:
Wholesome:
Color
Fruit
Musical artist
Animal
Travel destination
Your company:
Problem
Expense
Good hire
Working location
Software
@charlesnsylvia an absolute masterclass… until 👀😭 #charlesandsylvia #wolfieandsylvia #couplescomedy

Trend 2 — The Things I Think I’m Owed Trend
This video can either be super serious or super funny.
Dealer’s choice!
Just make a list of things that you’re “owed.”
And record yourself to this audio.
I’ve seen this range anywhere from “A boyfriend who doesn’t cheat on me” to “A ticket to the Super Bowl.”
Just have fun with it!
Why it Works For You:
People can either learn something about you or understand your goals for the company.
Here are some things I think you’re owed:
A multimillion-dollar seed round.
Thousands of customers.
A perfect iced coffee.
A first-class ticket on your next flight.
A friend group that checks on you when you’re deep into work.
@_akaybee Three waterfalls.. #harrypotter #marvel #hungergames #starwars #strangerthings

Trend 3 — The How To Summon Me Trend
Alright, alright.
Pause.
Before you watch this, just know you can do this either with your product(s) or your favorite things.
This trend is for EVERYBODY.
Clip one: Have a friend hold the item in front of the camera.
Clip two: Don’t move anything — not the camera or the item.
You should appear in the frame as if you’ve been summoned.
When you edit it together, it should look like you’ve just popped in.
Why it Works For You:
This gives you a chance to show off what makes you happy.
Your audience can start to get insights into who you are.
Here are items to summon me:
TikTok (obvi)
Rhode lipgloss
Hallmark movies
Pumpkin bread
A video with 1M+ views
@binance fall for this every single time
